LifePO4 Battery Charger

LiFepo4 battery is also called "LFP", a member of the rechargeable battery. The advantages of Low cost, low toxicity, thermal stability, safety property, electrochemical performance and specific capacity have made the LiFepo4 battery become an important role in the vehicle and backup power industries. LiFepo4 battery has a longer cycle time than other lithium-ion batteries. The discharge rate is lower than other lithium-ion batteries. Most important is that the LiFepo4 has advantages of thermal stability and electrochemical performance, it is safer than other lithium-ion batteries. It is widely used for the vehicles, such as the BYD EV, ONE-WHEEL electric scooter, Zboard balance scooter, etc. How to choose a battery charger for the LiFePO4 battery? First, you should know the battery voltage and capacity. Single LiFepo4 battery voltage is 3.2V, two sells battery pack voltage is 6.4V... charger voltage for the single battery is 3.65V, charger voltage for two cells in series is 3.65*2V. Charger current is 0.2C-0.5C commonly. Letter C means the battery capacity. Take the 4s LiFePO4 battery 12.8V 12AH for example, the battery charger voltage is 14.6V, the charger current is 4A.
