Lithium battery charging current and charging voltage are the two most important parameters in lithium battery charging. This is not only related to the charging performance of lithium batteries but also related to the safe use of lithium batteries. High current or large voltage charging will affect the performance of lithium batteries, or Fire and explosion and other dangerous situations occur, so pay attention to the charging voltage and charging current when charging the lithium battery, and choose a good lithium battery charger.

The single-cell lithium battery charging voltage is 4.2V, multi-cell lithium battery charging voltage = 4.2* The number of lithium batteries in series, such as the charging voltage of a three string lithium battery pack is 4.2*3=12.6V; taking into account the charging time should not be too long, usually the lithium battery charging current is set to 0.5C. The use of lithium batteries is the process of discharging lithium batteries. At this time, lithium ions in the negative electrode carbon layer are removed and moved back to the positive electrode. The more lithium ions returning to the positive electrode, the higher the discharge capacity. Generally speaking, the lithium battery capacity refers to the discharge capacity of the lithium battery under the 0.2C rate discharge system. Lithium battery discharge is the anti-movement of the charging process, because the charge and discharge performance of lithium ions in the reciprocating motion between the positive and negative, so the lithium battery is also known as rocking chair battery.

The discharge of a lithium battery is accompanied by a decrease in the battery voltage. If discharge is performed with a small current, the discharge time is longer and the voltage drop is slower; if discharge is performed with a large current, the voltage drop is fast and the discharge time is short. Judging from the total output power, a lithium battery using a small current discharge has a larger capacity than a large current discharge. The reason is that the resistance at a large current is also large. In addition, pay attention to the lithium battery discharge cut-off voltage, lithium battery discharge termination voltage, the ideal lithium battery discharge cut-off voltage is 3.0, but the actual use of lithium battery discharge cut-off voltage settings will be different, usually lower than 3.0V The purpose is to make full use of battery power, and the most common is to set the discharge termination voltage to 2.75V. When the battery is discharged to the termination voltage, it is necessary to charge the battery. If the lithium battery is continuously discharged below the discharge termination voltage, the lithium battery will be over-discharged. Overdischarge will affect the performance of the lithium battery and even cause irreversible capacity loss. Fortunately, protection plates are now added to lithium batteries to prevent overdischarge of lithium batteries and protect the performance of lithium batteries.
